In tiny rural Toodyay, everyone knows everyone and all are fair-game for gossip. When gift-shop owner Nadeen migrates across Australia, she’s chasing a treasured childhood memory of a friendly, unaffected town where she can make a fresh start: To set up shop and heal from the past in peace.

A solid plan until she crosses paths with Lorna, widowed farmer and life-member of the Country Women’s Association, who’s much revered as a model of character and virtue. Drawn together by raids on the farm’s medical produce, Nadeen and Lorna navigate an undeniably passionate attraction that risks challenging consequences. Indeed, their unlikely connection causes ructions between family, friends and the community.
